There are two types of packing for shifting your household/office goods within the city. 

Normal Packing

Bubble Wrapping for refrigerator, washing machine, and glasses. For utensils, clothes and others miscellaneous items, cardboard boxes are used. Household goods like cot, almirah, sofa sets, and dining tables will not be packed. The service includes disassembling and assembling of major items. 

Premium packing

Each and every item will be wrapped by air bubble wraps, except for iron cot and old/damaged goods. And for kitchen items, bedroom items and other miscellaneous items, we use cardboard boxes. 

Single layer packing

or Standard/Normal packing means we wrap the items only once with an air bubble/thermo blanket, which we use only for fragile items and electronics or sometimes for sofa sets also. Other items like cot, mattress, dining table cooler, we take as it is. We do not wrap small things like kitchen items, clothes or any other household items, because for those items, we use corrugated boxes or cardboard boxes. In local packing, most of the top packers and movers take back their packing materials immediately after unpacking, And if you want to keep those boxes, your service provider may charge you extra, around 50-70 rupees for each box. Whenever you return those boxes, your service provider will refund the amount which you have paid at the time of unloading. But they may charge you for collecting the material, which is called transportation charge, which is somewhere around Rs 300-500 and depends on your service provider. If you want to keep a few boxes permanently, inform your packers and movers one day before. Loading and unloading is quite a difficult job but service providers are doing smartly. But never ask for less labourers to save money as it can damage your valuable things or may hurt the labourers. Before closing the deal, you should ask your service provider how many labourers they will send for shifting.

Disassembling and rearrangement.

At the time of taking the quotation, you should confirm with your service providing company whether they will take care of disassembling all furniture and air conditioners. You should also check if they will rearrange each and everything, because most of the packers and movers charge extra for removing /fixing AC. Also, if we talk about rearrangement, they rearrange only major items like fridge, washing machine, cot, dining tables, chairs, sofa sets etc. Wherever you want to place the things, they place do it for you. But they will not rearrange small things like utensils and clothes. 

If someone is quoting very less than others, what should you do? 

You should not finalize over the phone. Because if you have closed the deal over the phone in less amount, they may not come for the moving on time. If they are getting more amount then you. Why Relocation companies increase their charges at the time of providing service?
